Rosemarie is safe we believe . . .
Compassion International has posted on their blog a list of the centers that were affected by earthquake. There have been 100 deaths among these centers and many, many injuries. Rosemarie's center was not listed so I am assuming she is safe, but of course we are praying still for all of the people of Haiti. Compassion said they would contact each sponsor so I will wait sorrowing for those that have lost their sponsored child. I want to continue to be mindful of all that my family and I have and look to help more with Haiti in the future.

No news on our Compassion child . . .
My husband and I have supported a little girl named Rosemarie for about 5 years now, she just had her 10th birthday this month. Compassion is doing the best they can to try and let us know what is going on in Haiti as far as everyone's sponsored children. There are 65,000 children in Haiti who are sponsored through Compassion, and when I read that so many of the staff there have been affected by the earthquake and have lost family members themselves it is a heart wrenching situation. Rosemarie did not live in Port-au-Prince but we have no information as of this time as to her safety. I have read that even those that live away from where the earthquake occurred are not okay because the transport of food to them will be impossible. Please pray for Rosemarie and I will post news as I receive it. Thank you very much.
